Visible vs Invisible

Another year has come and gone.

Another year of Your mercy and long-suffering upon a nation that has turned its back on you.

A nation who shouts out “God Bless America” whilst doing things that are an abomination to You.

This past year has seen adulteries among its leaders; the re-defining of Your holy institution of marriage and the continued killing of babies from the womb.

We’ve seen unrepentant homosexual clergy put in leadership in so-called ‘churches’. We’ve seen the lengths so–called ‘pastors’ will go to be popular by their use of crude language from the pulpits. We’ve seen the continued watering down and dumbing down of Your precious gospel that welcomes everyone without repentance and faith in Christ alone; as to offend no one because calling people ‘sinners’ and calling them to repentance and faith is not the ‘nice’ thing to do.

Oh, how the unregenerate heart of all men from birth is continually evil.

There truly is nothing new under the sun; only re-defining of words and better ways to take sin to a greater level of sin.

Poll after poll says the majority of Americans are Christians. How many though, Lord, will hear on that day, “Depart from Me, I knew you not.”

The church visible leading people astray.
The church visible making a mockery of Your name.
The church visible not truly proclaiming Your gospel.
The church visible saying good is evil and evil is good.
The church visible saying right is wrong and wrong is right.
The church visible re-defining Your word.
The church visible telling people to ask, “Did God really say…?”
The church visible, unholy, unrighteous, without ears to hear…

BUT…

The church invisible pointing people to Christ.
The church invisible lifting high Your name.
The church invisible truly proclaiming Your gospel.
The church invisible calling evil, evil and good, good.
The church invisible calling wrong, wrong, and right, right.
The church invisible taking Your word as is and standing firm upon it.
The church invisible telling people, “Thus saith the Lord…”
The church invisible, holy and righteous because of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and having ears to hear.
The church invisible, not perfect, but continuing to be sanctified by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The church invisible calling men to repent and trust in Christ alone.
The church invisible, not without struggles, but leaning on the Lord.
The church invisible, awaiting the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Maranatha!

"Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen." Jude 24-25
